Revolutionary War Encampment

If you enjoy reliving history or learning more about a historical event while celebrating the holiday, make plans to head to the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum on Saturday, May 26th for a free Memorial Day event. This museum, located in Wethersfield, features a Revolutionary War Encampment from 10AM to 4PM. Visitors can chat with the 5th Connecticut Regiment, who will all be dressed in colonial outfits for reenactments.

Connecticut House Music Festival

If you want to spend the holiday dancing, spend the day at Bushnell Park in Hartford on Sunday, May 27th. The Inaugural Connecticut House Music Festival takes place day from 10AM to 10PM. It will feature a wide range of music from several DJs from different areas of Connecticut.

Lady Katharine Cruises Brunch Cruise

If you would rather spend Memorial Day weekend on water instead of land, book a brunch cruise in Middletown. This brunch cruise is a great way to enjoy delicious food while taking in scenic views of the Connecticut River Valley. Live entertainment is also part of this experience. The cruise, which takes place on Sunday, May 27th from 12PM to 2PM, leaves from Harbor Park Landing.

Decoration Day
