Whether you’re a Hartford resident or are visiting the area this season, you’ll have your choice of plenty holiday events to get you in the spirit this year. From ice-skating to holiday shopping at a bazaar, you’ll be able to find an activity for you and your loved ones.

‘A Christmas Carol’ – A Ghost Story of Christmas

Through Dec. 30 at Hartford Stage, 50 Church St., Hartford. Tickets start at $25, and the show is suitable for ages 8 and up.

“A Christmas Carol” returns to Hartford Stage for its 20th year, bringing Bob Cratchit, Ebenezer Scrooge, and all the other well-known characters to life on stage.

Winterfest Hartford

Through Jan. 2 at Bushnell Park, 1 Jewell St., Hartford

Winterfest is a holiday tradition the whole family will enjoy, and you can take free skating lessons, ride the carousel, and enjoy performances like drumming and dancing. Events vary throughout the festival, and they include having a free photo taken with Santa. Check out the list of events for more information.

KNOW GOOD Holiday Market

The KNOW GOOD market will have a number of holiday gifts for the whole family! The market is hosted inside four venues along Bartholomew Ave., Hartford. You’ll discover something for nearly everyone on your gift list, where you’ll find unique gifts from local artisans, crafters, and more. Afterward, take a break at the Hog River Brewing Co., for a taste of their seasonal beers.

First Night Hartford

Join us for Hartford’s premiere New Year’s Eve party! A family-friendly, multicultural, artistically unique New Year’s experience with countless musicians, artists, performance groups and exhibits that inspires thousands of people of all ages to attend each year. Two spectacular fireworks shows will be on display in Bushnell Park at 6 pm and midnight.

Tower of Power – New Years Eve Party

Tower of Power New Years Eve at Infinity Hall on December 31st. Mezzanine level tickets include a three-course dinner. The early show bistro opens at 4 pm, with the music hall opening at 5 pm and music by Brian Dunne at 5:45 pm.

Tower of Power at 7 pm and the later show with doors opening at 9:30 pm. Both the early and late show tickets were sold out last year so get them today!
